A letter
This is for the ones who want to dig deeper.
I wanted to write something to you personally.
From the start, I’ve always hated boxes. Genres. Preconceptions. Labels.
That’s why Alesdi exists.
It’s an outlet to tell stories, express myself freely, try new things, and just make some cool shit
The sound is always changing. The medium too.
But the mission never will.
I’m here to build worlds. Trippy, emotional, distorted, beautiful worlds.
Real ones, fake ones, blurred ones. Hopefully ones that resonate.
But I've found, more than anything, ones I want to be heard in.
I released Catharsis in 2020.
It wasn’t perfect. But it wasn’t supposed to be.
It was a purge. An introduction from an artist sobering up trying to process everything all at once.
A frustrated release, knowing I had a voice I wanted to use and stories I wanted to tell.
I didn’t consciously know where the stories were going, I just knew I had to start telling them.
If you haven’t heard my old music yet, you should sometime! Its definitely different from what I make now, but it's real.
Since then as Alesdi, I’ve pulled back. Reset. Rebuilt Alesdi. Focused on myself for a while. Rebuilt it again. Got lost.
Learned to DJ. Made a lot of mistakes. Redefined Alesdi again. Made some of the best friends of my life,
and a lot of the best memories of it so far too
Some big takeaways so far:
Often the loneliest days are the ones where we grow the most
and our lowest points show us just how strong we really are.
Refine your craft. Tell your stories. Do the hard things others won’t because it’s the best thing to do and never stop learning and exploring new things.
I’ve spent years learning how to tell stories. Real ones, fake ones, realistic ones, and ones that can only exist in our wildest imaginations.
Sometimes they’re loud. Sometimes they’re soft.
Sometimes they make people dance, and sometimes they make them cry.
It just depends what I'm feeling at the time. Because when you make what you feel you can make other people feel it too
I love that about art
I love making things that make people feel something. Making music and worlds around the music. Things that make people dance, and things that make them sit there in awe.
Making them challenge themselves, and making things that end up stuck in their head long after they last heard it.
Yet the art isn’t the final product. It’s the gateway into something much weirder, deeper, and more alive.
Take from that what you will…
Because for me, that’s the point.
The goal was never just to be heard.
It’s always been to be felt.
Deeply and just off vibes
And long after my moment passes
To try and leave an echo that lasts long after I pass,
even if only for a few
Life is beautiful. Experience everything you can and don’t take the little things for granted.
Thank you for taking the time to care.
I’ll leave you with this:
It's always a part of a bigger story.
An evolving one. A human one.
A beautifully interconnected one.
And the longer you stick around, the more you begin to see it.
Love always, Alesdi
2025
